The Living Centre

The Living Centre stained glass window

There is a peaceful space within the hustle and bustle of the University set-aside for wellbeing, spirituality or simply to have a moment of quiet.

Support and guidance

The Living Centre provides pastoral support and guidance whatever your faith may be alongside events, activities and academic research. Links with other groups within UWE and the wider community means that support can extend beyond the Centre and the University.

Located in the Octagon building at the heart of Frenchay Campus, The Living Centre contains a lounge, quiet room, prayer space and a kitchen for refreshments.

Spirituality and wellbeing

The core activities and events run by The Living Centre explore spirituality and the essence of being human. There are also a range of complementary therapy sessions on offer designed to revive and harmonise mind and body.

All students and staff are welcome to use this facility to chat to the friendly and helpful staff or spend time alone, in personal reflection or just reading the newspaper.
