UWE Bristol alumni networking at a gathering

Alumni reunions

Find out about reunions for alumni from UWE Bristol and Bristol Polytechnic, or find out how we can help you to organise your own.

Organising a reunion

The Alumni Office can help you to organise a reunion or get-together of your class, subject, faculty or group of friends. We are happy to send out invitations on your behalf to those alumni for whom we have contact details although, due to the Data Protection Act 1998, we are unable to pass on any details directly to you.

We can also help with accommodation, venue, catering and entertainment as well as locating former lecturers and members of staff.

If you are interested in organising a reunion or would like to add your reunion to the notice board, please contact us.

Bristol Polytechnic Diploma in Housing Studies (1976-1979)

1979 Housing Studies Reunion

Seven former students from the course met in central London for drinks and a meal in January 2017. It was the first reunion since completing the course in 1979 when the property departments were based at Unity Street in central Bristol.

Everyone started their career working in social housing, many for local authorities, but later career paths diverged either by choice or reflecting what was happening nationally in housing policy.

The evening was a success and there are tentative plans to meet again in Bristol in 2018.

BA Social Science (1984 graduates) - 30th anniversary

A group of 25 alumni met at Frenchay to talk with current and former staff. There was a light lunch offered and the opportunity to visit the department as it is now, with a short tour from a recent graduate.

The group, led by organiser Graham Hogg, then headed in to the city centre for a meal, calling at a few old drinking haunts along the way.
