UWE Bristol offers a range of scholarships for international undergraduate students.

Please note: In order to apply for any UWE Bristol scholarships, you must have received an offer to study at UWE Bristol. Remember to apply for the course early to ensure your scholarship application can be considered.

Scholarships for international undergraduate students starting at UWE Bristol in September 2016

Academic excellence scholarship

We consider applications when they are received so we strongly recommend applying as early as possible. The award value is automatically deducted from tuition fees.

  • Have achieved 70 points above the UCAS tariff offer or have achieved higher than 65% in your studies
  • Hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer where IELTS or equivalent English language is the only condition
  • Be classed as overseas for fees purposes
  • Not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award.
  • Provide official transcripts at the time of application

Country-specific scholarship

This scholarship is available to undergraduate and postgraduate full-time, first year students from the specific countries listed below. The award value is automatically deducted from tuition fees.

  • Provide official transcripts at the time of application

How to apply

You will automatically be assessed for the country specific scholarship at the point of application for your programme at UWE Bristol by your domicile country as indicated in your application. Email international@uwe.ac.uk if you have any queries.

Programme specific scholarships

Lord Templeman Bangladesh – Any LLB (Hons) programme

Recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the programme. Following graduation, recipients will also be expected to be an active member of the UWE Alumni Network by helping the University to promote its programmes to prospective students. Eligible applicants must
  • Have applied for one of UWE Bristol's LLB(Hons) programmes
  • Have achieved the equivalent of 3 A-levels at grade AAB or AAA or above
  • Hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer where IELTS or equivalent English language is the only condition
  • Be classed as overseas for fees purposes
  • Successful candidates when accepting the scholarship will need to prove that they satisfy the UKVI criteria in terms of being able to cover living costs and the remainder of the fee
  • Not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award
  • Provide official transcripts at the time of application

How to apply

Students will be invited to apply for the Lord Templeman Bangladesh scholarship via their UWE Welcome portal. They will need to write a personal statement if they would like to be considered for the Scholarship and upload it via their UWE welcome portal.

They should clearly write and save the document as ‘Personal Statement for Lord Templeman Bangladesh Scholarship’ before uploading via their welcome portal. The deadline for application is Thursday 30 June 2016.

Application will be assessed by the programme leader and candidates will be informed of the final decision by Wednesday 20 July 2016.

Lord Templeman Mauritius – Any LLB (Hons) programme
