Graduate School community
As Postgraduate Researchers (PGRs), there are several ways that you can communicate with other researchers and staff in the Graduate School community.
The Digital Doctorate Blog
This newspaper style blog is edited by the Researcher Development Manager and acts as a repository of reflections on the development of doctoral researchers and their supervisors by providing hints, tips, advice and other outputs from the skills development programme.
UWE GradSchool on Twitter
The Graduate School has a Twitter account for the purpose of sharing best practice, advice and suggestions from peers in the world of doctoral education. Events, studentships and news of relevance to UWE Bristol researchers are promoted through this medium.
As a postgraduate researcher, you will receive a regular newsletter from the Graduate School. This is how we will keep you up-to-date with policy changes, skills development, and wider university support, news and events.
PG Researcher representatives
The Faculty Research Degrees Committee (FRDC) and Graduate School Committee both have PGR representatives as members. If you have a PGR issue you would like to raise, please contact your representative.
Graduate School Committee
The Graduate School Committee meets at various locations around UWE Bristol each year, and meets with those involved in doctoral activity after every ‘official’ meeting. Between 11:30 and 12:00, members of the GSC and the Graduate School will be available to answer your questions so please come along. Anything from matching names to faces to challenging questions about doctorates are welcome. Rooms and Campus location for 2017/2018 to be confirmed.
Graduate School Office
The Graduate School Office staff can help if you have questions regarding your PGR journey. You are welcome to contact us by phone, email or in person. We are based in room 3E37 and will be pleased to see you.
