Appearance Matters Conference Registration and Travel Scholarships
UWE Bristol has generously donated two scholarships to fund one student/early career researcher and one clinician or member of a not-for-profit organisation to attend and present at Appearance Matters 8.
What does the scholarship cover?
The scholarship will cover conference registration, conference dinner, attendance at two training workshops, and funds towards accommodation and travel costs (£500 for UK-based applicants, £700 for EU-based applicants and £1,000 for non-EU based applicants).
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for outstanding committed researchers, practitioners, or not-for-profit workers who do not have access to funds to enable them to attend and present at the conference. Applicants are required to demonstrate:
- The high quality and innovative nature of their current research and/or practice that they plan to present at the conference.
- How they plan to apply the new knowledge and skills they will obtain from attending the conference in their research and/or practice in future.
Successful applicants must attend the full conference and have submitted an abstract to present at the conference.
After the conference, they must also provide a 1000 word report of the impact of attending the conference on their research or practice within 6 months of attending the conference.
The application process
Deadline for scholarship applications and abstract submission: 1 November 2017, 23:59 London time (GMT).
We will inform you of the outcome of your scholarship application and abstract submission by mid-December 2017.
