BRL Centre for Machine Vision (CMV)

Machine Vision

The Centre for Machine Vision (CMV - formerly Machine Vision Laboratory) is part of the Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL), a major research collaboration between the University of the West of England and the University of Bristol.

The Centre aims to solve practical computer vision problems with direct application to the real world. The group’s particular excellence lies in the sub-fields of three-dimensional reconstruction and surface inspection. Please see the pages below for a sample of the Centre's research.

RAE 2008

The majority of the work has been rated as 'internationally excellent' or 'world leading' in the 2008 RAE. See Unit 25 in RAE results page.
