Qualifications listed under each section may satisfy UWE entry requirements to that level of study. This is not a guarantee of an offer of a place, which is at the University's discretion.

English Language requirements

All students must also have a recognised English Language qualification.

For postgraduate entry requirements, please refer to individual course descriptions within the courses database.

We accept those who have scored 70% and above in Standard XII for Undergraduate entry. For Postgraduate entry you will need to have achieved the Undergraduate requirements and been taught in the medium of English at university level in the last three years.

Entry Requirements

• Entry onto Undergraduate
  Higher Secondary School Certificate/Indian School Certificate (standard XII) from the following boards CBSE / CISCE / WBCHSEB with 65% including grade C in at least 5 subjects. Students with lower grades may be considered for entry onto a foundation degree.

  Applicants who have standard IIX from other state boards should contact the International Development Office for further information. If you have studied A-levels or IB, information on entry requirements can be found on the specific programme webpage.

• Entry onto Postgraduate
  • Holders of a Bachelor degree awarded by Indian University or Bachelors of Engineering who have 55% or more will be considered for postgraduate study.
  • Holders of a Bachelor of Science/Commerce/Art or LLB who have 60% or more will be considered for postgraduate.

• Business, MBA, Management and Marketing
• Computer Sciences and Creative Technologies
• Engineering and Mathematics
• Planning and Architecture

UWE Bristol has welcomed students from overseas for a number of years and strives to provide the necessary advice and guidance to help make your arrival in the UK and Bristol as easy as possible. UWE Bristol has developed an extensive overseas representative network offering enquirers and applicants a variety of services:

• Help with applying to the University and assistance throughout the application process

The UWE Scholarship programme offers more than £300,000 worth of scholarships for international students each year.

There are also a number of scholarships available outside of UWE to international students wishing to study at a UK university including the British Council IELTS Scholarship award and the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan.
