About Gloucester Campus

The Department of Nursing and Midwifery's Gloucester Campus is situated in the Alexandra Warehouse at Gloucester Docks.

The Alexandra Warehouse, a historic listed building, has been fully refurbished to a high specification. Featuring a purpose-built skills and simulation suite, you can take part in simulations and practice techniques which will be used on placement.

Our fully-equipped library provides you with quiet study areas, a wide selection of books and a growing collection of electronic resources as well as printing and photocopying facilities. You will also have access to our learning zone and IT suite gives you the opportunity to take time out from your busy lives to do self-study or group work with peers. There are plenty of PCs available throughout the building including laptops which you can borrow. You will also have full use of Gloucestershire College facilities.


Gloucester Campus provides several services to help and support you throughout your studies. This includes a wellbeing service, access to student and financial advisors, disability services and study skill sessions.

There is also an Information Point based at Gloucester Campus which provides a wide range of information and advice.

Gloucester Campus is set in Alexandra Warehouse, a historic listed building, on the stunning Gloucester docks. Home to Gloucester Quays shopping centre, there are numerous shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. Gloucester city centre is just a short 10 minute walk away and is currently being extended to incorporate a new £60 million leisure quarter promising 11 new restaurants and a 10-screen multiplex cinema.
