Car parking guidance for staff
All vehicles, except motorbikes, parked on UWE Bristol campuses between the core hours of 09:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday must display parking validation in their vehicle windscreen or driver's window. Vehicles must be parked in a designated parking bay.
UWE Bristol manages parking enforcement under the British Parking Association (BPA) guidelines and is a member of the Approved Operator Scheme. Any breach of UWE Bristol Parking Policy may result in a penalty charge notice and further action that is deemed necessary in accordance with the BPA guidelines.
An annual permit is based on 0.45% of your gross salary. This amount will be deducted, pro-rata, from your monthly pay. To apply and for full terms, conditions and exceptions see the permit application form.
You can cancel your permit and salary deductions any time by returning your permit to Car Parking, 1st Floor South Wing, Northavon House, Frenchay Campus.
If you don't require an annual permit and wish to pay each time you drive to campus you must apply for a free Permission to Park Permit. In addition to this permit, you will also need to display a daily ticket from the pay stations or buy parking tokens from any UWE Bristol retail outlet except OneZone, (these can be purchased in advance).
To apply for a free Permission to Park Permit email email@example.com with your registration and your office address so we can post the permit to you.
Electric vehicles and charging on campus
UWE Bristol staff are eligible for a large discount on a Nissan Leaf, and government grants for electric vehicles are also available. Contact Wessex Garages for more information.
There are electric charging points which can be used free of charge for anyone with a valid permit in car park 4 and 5 (near S Block) on Frenchay Campus. These marked bays are reserved for electric plug-in vehicles only. Installation of additional charging points are planned for Frenchay, Glenside and Bower Ashton campuses.
The fine print
As a member of staff, you can park in all unrestricted car parks. Please check parking signage for any restrictions.
Even if you have a permit, we do not guarantee access to individual spaces. Parking on campus is entirely at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for any vehicle theft or for any loss from or damage to vehicles parked on campus.
