Rehearsal studios and practice spaces
How to book
To book any of our rehearsal studios and practice rooms, you firstly need to become a member. Membership is free for students. Once you are a member you can sign up for any of our groups and activities and get access to our room booking system.
If you need to borrow any equipment for use during your room booking, such as a guitar, bass, etc., you can do this via Connect 2. Links will be provided when you book a room. Please make sure you book a room and equipment.
We are unable to loan equipment and instruments for use outside the Centre for Music.
Special arrangements are in place for players in UWE Orchestra who need access to instruments Please email steven.legge.@uwe.ac.uk for more information.
A large, comfortable rehearsal studio complete with a leather sofa plus all the equipment needed for a jam session including a whiteboard to share your ideas.

Designed and built by UWE Architecture students in the CfM workshop from recycled materials, the Jazz Room has a small stage, LED lighting and a comfortable carpeted floor ideal for small gigs as well as rehearsals.

A well-equipped DJ booth with enough space to get a mix on with a couple of friends. You can even borrow some of our vinyls.

- Two Reloop RP-4000 Mk 2 vinyl turntables
- Two Pioneer XDJ 700 compatible with Rekordbox (plug in a USB stick, hard drive or laptop)
- Reloop RMX-60 Digital Mixer

A large dance studio with minimal furniture to maximise floor space, with mirrored wall and wooden floor plus a grand piano.

- Yamaha upright piano
- Large dance studio with mirrored wall (used extensively by the UWE Dance Society)
- Ideal for vocal group rehearsals
- 4-channel PA that can be connected to phone to play media etc.
