Fresh off the block - Arts, Creative Industries and Education Degree Show

Creative Industries Degree Show

About the show

On 7-12 June 2019 the annual Creative Industries Degree Show, Fresh off the Block, showcased work from over 500 talented graduates from undergraduate and postgraduate art, design, film and journalism courses. This event is a real highlight of the year and is an opportunity to see the exceptional work across our City Campus locations at Arnolfini, Bower Ashton and Spike Island.

The show was launched on Friday 7 June 2019 with a private view taking place from 18:00–21:00. There was a fashion show at 19:00 (lasting around 45 minutes) during the private view, and a drama performance at 20:00.

The show was open to the general public on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00–18:00 and Monday to Wednesday 10:00–20:00 (no registration required). View the show map.

This year’s theme, Fresh off the Block, was developed by students Megan Alderson and Anna Quarrie, who drew inspiration from the physical ideas of blocks representing students as shaping and building the future.

"This ‘new blood’ theme combined with the visual of building blocks led us to create ‘Fresh off the Block’. The overall ethos commends unity but also individual growth."
