Entry requirements - Syria

The experienced UWE Bristol International team will be happy to give you advice on the suitability of your qualifications for your chosen programme of study.

Qualifications listed under each heading may satisfy UWE Bristol entry requirements to that level of study. This is not a guarantee of an offer of a place, which is at the University’s discretion.

All students must also have a recognised English language qualification.

Entry onto foundation programmes

Holders of the Al Shahada Al Thanawiya/Baccalaureat (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) are eligible to apply for entry onto a foundation degree or an undergraduate degree with foundation year entry with an overall grade of 70 per cent.

Applicants would require 102 minimum pass mark out of 240 from the Literacy stream and 104 minimum pass mark out of 260 in the Scientific stream.

Entry onto undergraduate programmes

Holders of the Certificate of Assistant Bachelor/Associate Degree (Shahâdat Musâcid Mujâz,Certificate of Assistant Licenciate or Associate Degree) with 65 per cent or above are eligible to apply for the first year of a Bachelors degree.

Holders of the Bachelors degree (al-Ijâza fi or Licence) are eligible to apply for the UWE Bristol Bachelors degree. Second or 3rd year entry may be possible dependent on grades and subjects.

Entry onto postgraduate programmes

Holders of the Masters degree (al-Mâjistîr) are eligible to apply for postgraduate study with 60 per cent.

Lower score may be considered where students have suitable work experience.

Please note: Where UWE Bristol has an academic agreement in place with an institution, greater flexibility in entry requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate courses may apply as outlined in those agreements.

If you do not quite meet our entry requirements, our International College offers a range of university preparation courses to teach you all you need to progress to UWE Bristol. We also have a range of Pre-sessional English language courses to get your English skills up to the standard required for entry to UWE Bristol.
