Entry requirements - Egypt
The experienced UWE Bristol International team will be happy to give you advice on the suitability of your qualifications for your chosen programme of study.
Qualifications listed under each heading may satisfy UWE Bristol entry requirements to that level of study. This is not a guarantee of an offer of a place, which is at the University’s discretion.
All students must also have a recognised English language qualification.
Entry onto foundation programmes
Holders of a Secondary Education Certificate of Al-Azhar or Thanaweya A’ama or a Vocational Secondary Education Certificate will be considered for entry onto a foundation degree or an undergraduate degree with foundation year entry with grades of 70 per cent or above.
Entry onto undergraduate programmes
Advance Certificate of Technical Education (5 years from Technical Secondary School) will be considered for undergraduate entry with grades of 65 per cent or more.
Diploma (from intermediate institute) suitable for undergraduate study. In some cases accredited learning may be awarded for level 1 or 2 entry.
Holders of a Bachelors degree from a Higher Institute will be considered for undergraduate entry.

Entry onto postgraduate programmes
Holders of a Bachelors degree from a public or private university with a GPA of 65 per cent or more.
Bachelors degree from an American university in Cairo (four-year programme) with a GPA of 2.7 or above will be considered for entry onto a Masters programme.
Holders of a Diplom Dersassat Uliaa (PG Diploma)/Diploma of Higher Studies with a GPA of 2.7 out of 4.0 will be eligible for entry onto a Masters programme.
Lower score may be considered where students have suitable work experience.
Holders of a Majisters (Masters) with 2.7 out of 4.0 or above
will be considered for PhD study.
Please note: Where UWE Bristol has an academic agreement in place with an institution, greater flexibility in entry requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate courses may apply as outlined in those agreements.
