Teacher working with two primary school children in a school

Placements and work-based learning

Add meaningful work-based learning to our expert teaching, and you’re well on your way to graduating prepared for the real world.

Bristol is home to people from a broad spectrum of backgrounds and cultures. We’ve made sure our work-place settings reflect this by developing relationships with a wide range of partners.

Because many of our partners have worked with us for years, we know that they have your best interests at heart. You may even find that you have a work-place mentor who studied at UWE Bristol themselves.

Wherever your work-place learning takes you, you can be assured of valuable experiences that enrich your studies and increases your employability.

Support and guidance

Whatever challenges you face on your journey into Higher Education, we’ll be on hand with support and guidance.

We’re a close-knit department with a good ratio of tutors to students, so there’s no risk of getting lost in the crowd.

You’ll be surrounded by a network of support, including your academic and personal tutor (APT) who’ll be available throughout your course for academic and individual advice.
