50% tuition fee scholarship for postgraduate courses

We are now offering Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships for 2020/21 on the available courses listed below. The scholarship will provide a tuition fee discount of 50% on selected full-time and part-time postgraduate courses, and includes the 15% alumni discount. Scholarships have limited availability.

A key UWE Bristol priority is transforming futures. We are committed to helping our undergraduates enhance their careers through further study on courses that give the opportunity to develop the business skills, awareness and confidence needed to aspire to management positions in many professions and business sectors.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship is competitive. Scholarships will be awarded to those applicants who most closely meet or exceed the criteria by completing the scholarship task.

Eligibility

You must be able to start your postgraduate course in the next academic year. For example, if you finished your course in 2018/19 or 2019/20 your postgraduate course must start in 2020/21.

You are eligible to apply if you fit into the below criteria:

Home, EU or international students

  • you have either graduated from, or are due to complete, a full-time or part-time UWE Bristol undergraduate degree in the current academic year
  • you have graduated from a full-time or part-time UWE Bristol undergraduate degree in the previous academic year
  • you have achieved or are predicted a First-class honours degree
  • you have applied for one of the courses listed below.

How to apply

Applicants who have achieved a First-class honours or have indicated you are predicted a First-class honours in an undergraduate degree will be invited to apply via their UWE Welcome portal on their course application offer letter.

The application deadline for the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for September 2020 is Sunday 31 May 2020.

Home and EU students

We will contact you within seven working days of your submitted scholarship application to confirm you are through to the assessment stage. The assessments take place in June 2020.

If you are successful, you will be notified via email by Tuesday 30 June 2020.

You will have 14 days to confirm your place. Once we have heard from you, we will be able to confirm your scholarship.

International students

We will contact you within seven working days of your submitted scholarship application to confirm you are through to the assessment stage. The assessments take place in June 2020.

If you are successful, you will be notified via email by Tuesday 30 June 2020.

If you accept the scholarship, you will need to pay your £3,000 deposit to UWE Bristol within a week of receiving your scholarship offer letter. You will also have to prove that you satisfy the UKVI criteria in terms of being able to cover living costs and the remainder of the fees.

Payment

The discount equals 50% off the full course cost and includes the 15% alumni discount. The discount will be applied at the start of the course for full-time students. Part-time students will receive the discount at the start of each new study year.

Please note: In order to apply for any UWE Bristol scholarships, you must have received an offer to study at UWE Bristol by Friday 15 May 2020. Remember to apply for the course early to ensure your scholarship application can be considered.

Courses

The selected courses are particularly relevant to students with no prior knowledge of business and management as they will provide you with a strong foundation in these areas, adding to your existing knowledge and skills, and enhancing your CV. Gaining commercial awareness and business management tools can help you to progress quickly in a broad range of careers, from more traditional roles and organisations, to niche jobs in the creative and cultural industries, and the charity sector.
