Updates to services:

All UWE Bristol campus buildings are now closed until further notice. Every single one of us now has a part to play in this pandemic. Stay at home. Do not gather in groups of more than two, unless you live together.

The Government will look again at these measures in three weeks, and relax them if the evidence shows this is possible.

Where there is specific information for a service it is listed below:

UWE Hospitality Services and campus shops

U Block Shop

The Students’ Union U Block shop is still open for students and staff on campus, offering takeaway food from our bakery, hotdogs, food to go, as well as still being well stocked for grocery items and other necessities. If you would like to check on the availability of an item before travelling to The Shop, please call +44(0)117 328 7692, and we can offer live stock information to cut down on unnecessary journeys. The shop is operating on reduced hours and is open from 08:00-16:00, Monday to Friday.

Please note, we are doing what we can to keep both our staff and customers safe, we are only accepting card payments, and we have removed the £3 minimum spend to support this. We also have hand sanitiser available for use on entering and ask all customers to respect the social distancing guidance whilst using the shop.

Hospitality services

Please note all open outlets are open for takeaway only. We cannot accept personal reusable cups in any outlet, drinks will be served in biodegradable cups. The outlets that remain open are providing takeaway service only and are only accepting card payments to help reduce contamination associated with handling cash. We are asking customers to:

  • Wash hands before entering an outlet
  • Allow two metres between people especially if standing in a queue
  • Please do not bring your own cup
