1st Formations Business Scholarship
- 1st Formations are leading UK company formation agents.
- Available to any student on a course with Bristol Business School.
Applied Sciences Widening Participation
- Award is 50% tuition fees.
- Eligible for postgraduate students from widening participation backgrounds, for certain programmes.
BBC Studios Wildlife Filmmaking Scholarship
- Award covers full tuition fees, travel and living costs.
- Available to applicants from Indonesia or Malaysia.
- For students on the MA Wildlife Filmmaking programme.
British Chevening Scholarship
- Available to students from Chevening-eligible countries.
- Students must hold an undergraduate degree that is equivalent to at least an upper second-class honours.
British Marshall Scholarship
- 40 scholarships per year.
- For US students with high ability, in any field of study.
Certificate in Counselling Skills Scholarship
- Award is 50% of tuition fees.
- Two scholarships available.
- For home (UK) students with an offer of an unconditional place on the Certificate in Counselling Skills course.
Chancellor's Scholarship
- Award is 50% of tuition fees.
- Recipients will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Office or other departments, and will be required to undertake ambassadorial activity.
Commonwealth Shared Scholarship
- For students from Commonwealth countries wanting to study MSc Construction Project Management or MSc Civil Engineering at UWE Bristol.
- Scholarship covers travel, tuition fees and maintenance.
College of Arts, Technology and Environment Dean's International Scholarship
- Scholarships available for a postgraduate applicant studying on a full-time MA within the College of Arts, Technology and Environment.
- Award to the value of £5,000.
- Eligible to all nationalities classed as overseas for fee purposes.
College of Health, Science and Society Dean's Scholarship
- Award value is 100% of tuition fees.
- Applicants must meet a range of eligibility criteria.
College of Health, Science and Society MSc Scholarship
- Award value is 50% of tuition fees.
- Eligible for specific courses within the College of Health, Science and Society.
Flywire Charitable Foundation Academic Scholarships
- Scholarships worth the equivalent of $5,000 USD each.
- Open to current and new international and EU students at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
FutureAI Scholarship
- Two £4,000 scholarships available.
- Available to international postgraduate students with an interest in AI.
GREAT Scholarships 2024
- Eligible to students from Bangladesh, China and India.
- Three scholarships are available.
- Applying for science and technology (Bangladesh/India) and core (China) postgraduate courses.
The Harris Scholarship
- One scholarship is available to an estranged student studying a Humanities course in the academic year 2023/24.
- The successful applicant will be awarded £1,500.
Higher Education Short Course Loans
- Available to those who normally live in England.
- Loans not repayable until earning over a certain threshold.
- You can borrow up to £2,310 for 30 credit courses and £3,080 for 40 credit courses.
Hodgkin House Accommodation Scholarship
- The scholarship is for a September 2024 start and will last for one academic year (12-15 months).
- One accommodation scholarship is available for a full-time postgraduate student of Ugandan, Kenyan or Tanzanian nationality and domicile.
International Sport Scholarship
- 30% tuition fee discount plus a comprehensive performance sport support package.
- Available to high-performing athletes.
- Recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of their course.
International Student Scholarships
- Available to international and EU students.
- Up to £4,000 available for successful candidates.
- You must be an international fee payer to be eligible.
Katherine Gamboa Scholarships
- Two scholarships are available for year one undergraduate students studying Graphic Design who have a household income of less than £25,000.
- Established in memory of Katherine Gamboa, who sadly died whilst studying at UWE Bristol.
Millennium Scholarship
- 50% tuition fee scholarship.
- Recipients will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Office or other departments, as well as ambassadorial activity.
- Applicants must meet a variety of criteria.
MyWorld Scholarship

- Four scholarships are available to the value of £5,000 each.
- Open to home (UK) fee paying students studying a postgraduate creative technology course.
- Eligible to local students living in Bath(BA) and Bristol(BS) postcodes.
Needham Cooper Scholarships
- Two scholarships available for undergraduate Physiotherapy students.
- Provided by the Needham Cooper Charitable Trust.
OfS Scholarships for MSc Data Science
- Funded by the Office for Students.
- Intention is to increase the proportions of underrepresented groups in Data Science and AI.
- Application to MSc Data Science course needs to be completed prior to applying.
Part time fee waiver
- Part time postgraduate students.
- In receipt of means tested benefit at start of course, or care leaver.
- 75% fee discount offered.
Paul Stephenson Bursary (Education and Childhood)
- Eligible for new undergraduate applicants to the School of Education and Childhood.
- £2,000 a year for three years of study at UWE Bristol.
- Awarded to five students from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
Richard Hart Bursary
- Award is £2,000.
- Open to Black, Asian and minority ethnic home (UK) students from the Bristol area studying particular courses.
- Two scholarships available.
Santander Universities Brighter Futures Grants
- Santander Universities UK are offering 10 UWE Bristol students the opportunity to win £1000 each.
- Application deadline is 30 April 2023.
Santander Universities Scholars Programme
- One scholarship available.
- Open to home (UK) fee paying students who identify as part of an under-represented group.
- £30,000 over three years.

- Bursary value £1,500.
- Application deadline for the bursary is Friday 21 June 2024 17:00 BST.
The Sanctuary Scholarship
- Two scholarships to support refugee and asylum seekers looking to study undergraduate courses at UWE Bristol.
- Full tuition fee waiver for the duration of the course.
- £1,650 annual bursary for the duration of the course, as a contribution towards study costs.
Tony Papadopoullos Scholarship
- Available for students on selected undergraduate programmes in our Computer Science and Creative Technologies Department.
- Students must achieve a first at the end of year one and be in receipt of a UWE Bursary.
- Provided by Tony Papadopoullos Charitable Trust in memory of the founder of software specialist company, Apak.
Transport Scholarships
- Available for applicants looking to study full-time on the MSc Transport Planning and MSc Transport Engineering and Planning programmes.
- National competition for these awards.
- Provided by Brian Large Bursary Fund and the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund.
US loans
- Information on federal loans for students from the US.
- All students must be enrolled at least half-time.
- Student must also remain in good SAP standing to receive a loan.
UWE Bristol Alumni Scholarship
- For UWE Bristol alumni.
- 20% discount on tuition fees for our full-time and part-time taught postgraduate courses.
- No application required.
UWE Bristol's International College Scholarships
- Scholarships available to students progressing from UWE Bristol’s International College to UWE Bristol.
UWE Cares
- Financial support available for carers, care leavers and estranged students.
- £1,650 per year.
- Part of a wider package to support you at UWE Bristol.
UWE Cares PG Bursary
- Financial support available for carers, care leavers and estranged students.
- 50% discount on tuition fees.
- Available to students registered with UWE Cares during their UG course.
Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship
- 50% off tuition fees for previous undergraduate students at UWE Bristol wishing to pursue postgraduate study.
- Apply via the UWE Bristol Welcome portal.
Wallscourt Scholarships
- For students who attended local secondary schools, considering studying an undergraduate course at UWE Bristol.
- Ten scholarships available.
- Provided by the Wallscourt Foundation, an independent charitable trust.
Water Conservation Trust Scholarship
- £4,000 towards fees plus £1,000 for dissertation expenses.
- One scholarship available for one of the following courses: MSc Environmental Management, MSc Environmental Consultancy, MSc Sustainable Development in Practice.
- Provided by the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators.
Wintech Scholarship
- One scholarship available for a postgraduate applicant who has been accepted on the MSc Facade Engineering Programme.
- Award value is 100% of tuition fees.
- Applicants must meet a range of eligibility criteria.
