Santander scholarships

The partnership agreement between UWE Bristol and Santander Universities focuses on international exchange, entrepreneurial activities and the mobility of students and researchers within the Santander network.

As part of the agreement, Santander Universities fund a number of postgraduate scholarships at UWE Bristol.

Santander Postgraduate scholarships

Santander Postgraduate Scholarships provide five scholarships of £4,000 to help with course costs. You can apply if you are a current final year student in receipt of a UWE Bursary or if you graduated in 2018 and were in receipt of a UWE Bursary whilst a student.

Applications for the 2019/20 scholarship are currently open until Friday 14 June 2019.

Write a 500 word response to the following question:

How will your proposed Masters study impact your future career?

Please include the following information in your application:

  1. a compelling case that the Santander Scholarship will make a real difference to your career
  2. a clear demonstration of very specific knowledge of the career and how the course is an essential component
  3. an outline of relevant/related experience gained to date.

You are required to make an appointment with a Careers Adviser to discuss your motivation for pursuing a Masters and to discuss your application further.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply you must be either a current full-time student in your final year of an undergraduate course at UWE Bristol or graduated in 2018 from an undergraduate course at UWE Bristol.

Also, if you are a current student, you must be in receipt of a UWE Bursary in the 2018/19 academic year and start your full-time taught Masters course in 2019/20. If you graduated in 2018, you must have been in receipt of a UWE Bursary in the 2017/18 academic year and start your full-time taught Masters course in 2019/20.

International students are not eligible for this scholarship.

Please note: The following courses are not part of the scheme: Nursing, Midwifery, MBA, PGCE, LPC, BPTC, Research Masters, PhDs.
