Student Content Coordinators are current students at UWE Bristol who assist our marketing and social media teams to create content for our channels, to help prospective students gain an understanding of what life is like at university.

As a student content coordinator, you’ll get paid to share your own university experiences, while gaining CV-boosting skills.

Whichever course you’re studying, or your interests, we’d love to hear from you. And don’t worry if you don’t have any experience, as we’ll provide training.

What the role involves

As a student content coordinator, you could get involved in:

  • photo/film shoots
  • live social media Q&A sessions
  • creating case studies about you and your course
  • social media takeovers
  • blogging and vlogging.

Who can apply?

To apply, you must be a current UWE Bristol student with the right to work in the UK.

Can international students apply?

Yes, however it is your responsibility to check if you have the right to work in the UK. It is also your responsibility to check and adhere to any work limitations which may be set out on any UK visa/right to work documents you have.

What happens once I've submitted my application form?

After the closing date, your application will be considered and if successful, you’ll be invited to an informal group interview.

How will I be paid?

You will be paid by BACS directly into your bank account and therefore need to complete a bank details form at the start of their employment. It is your responsibility to submit timesheets for work you have completed.

How much will I be paid?

You'll be paid £9 per hour.

What will I gain from it?

You’ll gain CV-boosting skills, build your confidence and work on projects that have a real impact. You’ll also develop your creativity and communications skills, and have the opportunity to work with filming equipment and social media tools.

Will I get any support?

Yes of course. We’ll always talk through projects and expectations, and our door is always open if you want to discuss anything with us. We’ll also work directly with you on many occasions.

Is there training to become a Student Content Coordinator?

Yes! Successful candidates will be invited to attend a training day, and we’ll provide advice and guidance on every task.

Who will I work with?

You’ll likely work with other students from across different courses and campuses, as well as staff from the Social Media, Multimedia and Marketing teams.

Is there a uniform/dress code?

No; we want you to be yourself!

What will my working hours be?

It’s flexible and fits around your studies. Student Content Coordinators are casual workers, and as a casual worker we’re not obliged to offer you any work nor are you obliged to accept any. You can decide how much you want to do.

Will I be able to get a reference once I’ve finished working as a Student Content Coordinator?

Yes – we can provide references upon request.
