Volunteering and community partnership projects
Volunteering while studying will give you an opportunity to test your skills in a work environment and provide evidence of work experience. It will also help you link in to the local community and learn more about the local area. With added opportunities for international students to support community partnership projects, this is an excellent way to use, improve and demonstrate all your skills and show what you can bring to any organisation.
Placements are an excellent way of obtaining work experience. The experience you get will increase your confidence, help you with your later career and provide evidence to future employers of your ability to use your skills in a global work environment. View reasons for doing a placement and contact our Visa and Immigration Advice Team for further information about including a placement in your studies.
