Arriving at UWE Bristol
How to find your accommodation and what to do when you arrive including ways to connect with your new flat or housemates.
Finding your accommodation
To find your way to the UWE Bristol campuses, take a look at our campus maps and information.
You can then refer to our accommodation map to locate your particular accommodation.
If you’re living in city centre accommodation, our partners Unite Students (who manage the buildings) will send you directions.
Parking on site
Many sites don’t have parking, so bear this in mind when you’re packing. Avoid bringing large heavy boxes that are difficult to carry. If you park illegally, you could get a fine.
Any faults or problems?
We do our best to make sure your accommodation is in good order when you move in. However, if you experience any problems, or find faults when you first get here, please report them to us through our repairs request system, or by calling +44 (0)117 32 83601.
We’ll deal with problems in order of urgency – less urgent ones may take a little longer to rectify at the start of the academic year.
If you’re living in city centre accommodation, please report any problems to your Unite Students accommodation reception.
Who will I be living with?
Due to data protection regulation, we can’t give you details of your new flat or housemates. However, many students use social networking sites such as Twitter (the official account for UWE Bristol-managed accommodation is @uweaccom) or Facebook, to make contact with other people who’ll be living in their area.
There are Facebook groups for each UWE Bristol accommodation – see the HallsLife Facebook group to find your accommodation.
If you use social media platform to find flatmates, bear in mind that most of these sites are public, so anyone can view your personal details online.
