The Stage One process
The Stage One flowchart has been created to outline the steps involved in the Stage One appeal process.

Evidence can be sent electronically or you may post it separately (ensuring that it arrives within the ten working days deadline). Specific guidance in relation to sending emails with attachments embedded can be found in the Guidance for submitting an Academic Appeal document.
If you are sending evidence by post, it should be sent to the below address in an envelope marked ‘Application for appeal'. Please include your name, student number and, if you have received it, your appeal reference number.

Important information for international students
If you are an international student with a Tier 4 student visa under the PBS system, and have been asked to withdraw from your award as a result of an Examining Board decision, it is important to be aware of certain issues before you submit an academic appeal. Please read the Tier 4 Visa Appeal information document for further details.
Submit a Stage One appeal
You are advised to read the Guidance for submitting an Academic Appeal document before submitting an appeal. Appeals must be submitted within ten working days from the official publication date of your results.
To access the application form, please enter the Academic Appeal Submission Site. If you are using a private computer you will be required to login using your UWE Bristol login details. It is recommended that Windows users use Internet Explorer to open the site and Mac OS users use Safari.
Problems with online submission
If you have any technical difficulties with online submission, please contact the Academic Appeals Team as soon as possible at: email@example.com or on +44(0)117 32 83371 and we will provide you with an alternative application form. Similarly, if you require information in an alternative format please contact us.
If you feel the matter has not been resolved to your satisfaction you may wish to make a Stage Two appeal.
