Curiosity Connections Bristol aims to support people who inspire primary Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning in the Bristol region. The network aims to bring together primary school teachers, science communicators, education providers, and people working in STEM industries. We will highlight stories, activities, and events which give ideas to primary science teachers, as well as connecting science communicators to schools.
The network is a collaboration betweenLouisa is a science communicator, freelancing as a writer and presenter. As a writer she covers stories on new scientific research for various international publications, this includes writing different types of articles for the American Institute of Physics and Physics World. As a presenter, Louisa goes into schools and events with and , and is from the Higher Education Funding Council for England. The network is free to join, and will offer a for STEM ideas and activities, as well as a regular networking event to connect STEM professionals. , presenting science shows to children and families. She holds a BSc in Cancer Biology and Immunology and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol.
