Science Live

A transatlantic pilot study to research what makes a public science event work.

The Festival of Nature, British Science Week and Bristol Food Connections are just some of the popular science events that engage hundreds of thousands of members of the UK population each year. This form of science communication is rightly now developing into its own field of expertise.

Science Live was led by Laura Fogg-Rogers at UWE Bristol in the UK, in collaboration with researchers from Cornell University and science festival managers at MIT and the University of Cambridge. The study released a landscape report about the scale of these events.
