• IMF (International Monetary Fund) Country Information
  Commentary and statistical data for individual countries. Each country page includes a link to the latest World Economic Outlook, giving access to the WEO database. This provides time series of macroeconomic data for countries and groups of countries.
• ILO LABORSTA
  LABORSTA is the main International Labour Organisation database on labour statistics covering economically active population (data since 1945), employment, underemployment, employment (or labour force) by detailed occupational group and sex. Data can also be viewed by region/continent. Background information about the sources and methods of collection of the statistics is provided.
• Keeping Track
  An up-to-date guide to major longitudinal sources of data collected by governmental, academic, private social research, medical and private industrial sources. Developed jointly by the Office for National Statistics and the UK Longitudinal Resources Centre.
• NISS (National Institute of Statistical Sciences)
  American organisation, not to be confused with the UK's NISS website. Information on cross-disciplinary research in the statistical sciences.
• OECD (Organisation for Economic Development)
  The OECD site includes easily accessible statistics on world unemployment, GDPs and consumer prices. It provides links to worldwide national statistical sources.
• OECD Main Economic Indicators
  These are now available through the UK Data Service International section.

  This is the Department of Transport's website for statistics concerning all aspects of transport in Great Britain. Statistics are available free of charge and can be printed or downloaded in various formats including Excel. Select 'transport statistics' from the menu on the left hand side of the Department of Transport page.
• Travel and tourism analyst (from the Economist Intelligence Unit) This journal is now available in full text via the Mintel database.
• National Statistics Office. Transport, Travel and Tourism Theme
  This Theme from the UK's Office for National Statistics brings together information and statistics about Transport, Travel and Tourism whether in the United Kingdom or overseas. A number of government departments and other organisations contribute to the theme, with statistics covering the characteristics of people who travel and the reasons why they make their journeys, means of transport, freight, tourists and tourism and transport safety and pollution issues. Statistical tables are able free of charge for viewing, printing and downloading. To access the theme, select it from the drop down menu on the top left of the National Statistics Office webpage.
• VisitBritain
  A corporate website for the UK tourism industry, providing access to information on the latest tourism figures (including inbound tourism statistics, England tourism surveys and insights, and consumer behaviour), market information, trends and forecasts. You can search the site for specific data, or browse the 'England research & Insights', 'Inbound research & Insights', and 'Inbound markets & segments' sections from the menu.
