Library service interruptions
Information on Library maintenance that may cause disruption for users.
Fire door replacement
Some doors on levels 2-5, Staircases A (Glendinning end) and 7 (IT help desk and Library Lounge end) of main library were replaced during the week commencing Monday 16 December.
Update 23/12: There is still some outstanding work to be done to the door frames and accessible access mechanisms. We have not received confirmation on when this work will take place, so there could be some noise disturbance. If you are disrupted by the noise please move to another area of the library, as a general rule this should be the furthest away floor and opposite end of the library floor. If you experience noise disruption due to this please come to the level 2 help pods during staffed hours to get a free pair of ear plugs or borrow headphones.

Noise from construction work
Work is progressing on the new Environment and Technology building just outside the back of Frenchay Library. If you experience noise disruption due to this please come to the level 2 help pods during staffed hours to get a free pair of ear plugs or borrow headphones. Library staff can also help to advise on an alternative area of the library to work in, if you need specific software, equipment or noise level.
