Library service interruptions
Information on Library maintenance that may cause disruption for users.
Summer 2019 refurbishments
We are upgrading some of the furniture in Frenchay Library over the summer, including replacement desks and chairs. This will involve closing sections of the library study spaces to make changes to the electrics in preparation for changes to the layout.
We are expecting some noise disruption due to this activity. You can go to the level 2 help pods to get a free pair of ear plugs or borrow headphones. Library staff can also help to advise on an alternative area to work in, if you need specific software, equipment or noise level.
Additional information about the refurbishments
- We are not moving any book stock.
- You will still have access to every floor, but may not be able to use some seating areas.
- The newspaper stand will permanently relocate to Level 2.
