Terms and conditions for using our Pharos print service.

Crediting your Pharos print account

Your Pharos print account should normally be credited within a maximum period of one hour of a successful payment.

Liability cannot be accepted for the payment not being credited to your Pharos print account due to incorrect details being supplied by you.

Please contact the IT Service Desk if your Pharos print account is not successfully credited after one hour.

Print Credits Refund Policy (personal account)

Refunds will be only be given on request for students that have completed their studies or have withdrawn from the University and have a personal balance of at least £10 that has been credited within the last 12 months.

Print credit gifted by the University is not eligible for refunds.

Refunds must be requested within one month of withdrawal or three months after completion of studies by emailing income.ops@uwe.ac.uk including student number, student name and the reason for refund.

The University reserves the right to refuse a refund and all decisions will be made based on information held by the University.

Refunds will only be reimbursed to the debit/credit card used for the most recent transactions and not via cash or bank transfer.

Valid refunds will be processed within 21 days of receipt of the original request.

Once a refund is completed the print credit account will be terminated.

Payment

A transaction complete page will be displayed once a successful payment has been made, this will include a unique reference number. An automated email will also be sent to the address provided. It is your responsibility to ensure the email address is accurate.

The University cannot accept liability for declined debit/credit card payments for any reason. All declined payments should be referred to your debit/credit card provider.

General

The University of the West of England (the University) has tried to ensure that access to information provided and the payments you make whilst using this site are secure. Additionally the University uses anti-virus software to minimise the risk of infection from viruses etc.

Your payment details are automatically encrypted when you enter them. This site is secured using a Thawte SSL Web Server Certificate to offer you secure communications by encrypting all data to and from the site.

The University does not guarantee that use of this website will be compatible with all hardware and software which may be used by visitors to this site.

Where information is presented to you from other University systems it is provided in good faith but the University does not warrant that such information accessible from this site is comprehensive, accurate or up to date.

To the fullest extent permitted at law, the University is providing this website, its contents and its online payment facility on an ‘as is’ basis and makes no (and expressly disclaims all) representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to this website or the information, content, products or services included in this site. In addition, the University does not represent or warrant that the information accessible via this website is accurate, complete or current.

Except as provided in the paragraph below, the University and its officers and employees, will be under no liability to users of this website whatsoever in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, restitution or otherwise for any injury, death, damage or direct, indirect or consequential loss (all three of which terms include, without limitation, pure economic loss, loss of profits, loss of business, depletion of goodwill and like loss) howsoever caused arising out of or in connection with the use of this website or the use, accessing, downloading or relying on any information or other materials contained in this website, including, without limitation, as a result of any computer virus.

These terms and conditions do not exclude liability (if any) to users of this website for personal injury or death resulting from the University’s negligence, for fraud or for any matter which it would be illegal for the University to exclude or attempt to exclude its liability.

We may change these terms from time to time. Such change will be notified on the online payment pages. Changes will apply to any subsequent transactions with the University.
