  • Living with Autism: an invitation to share and discuss parenting experiences

    We have amended the title and description for this event in the light of feedback from members of the autistic community. We thank those who emailed us and hope the new title and description are clearer and more appropriate.

    Parenting can be stressful and challenging for many parents. However, for those who raise children with special needs, everyday life challenges may have different dimensions.

  • SSC: Agora Europe: 'Solidarity and Europe'

    24/06/2019

    A panel of speakers that comprises philosophers, political scientists, international lawyers, activists, and NGO officers, will share thoughts on the meaning and construction of solidarity in times of social and political turmoil.

    Brief talks will be followed by an open discussion with the public. Everybody is welcome to participate and speak up.

  • Culture Reframed: Pornography as a Public Health Issue - Consequences and Solutions

    19/09/2019

    One-day training conference with Dr Gail Dines, president and CEO of Culture Reframed, visiting from Massachusetts, US. The event covers issues that those working with young people and families will recognise - sexting, nudes, peer on peer abuse, teen intimate partner violence, porn addiction, media literacy, self-harm and body issues.
