The Business Process Management Service Oriented Architecture has been formulated as an architectural framework that is both generic and extensible. It bridges the gap between business process models that have been modelled in a particular process modelling language and to be enacted in service-oriented environment.

SERG and in particular Zaheer Khan (as part of his Ph.D. research) has been actively engaged in instantiating this architectural framework to enact RAD business process in the Grid environment. And, thus RAD business models are translated into dedicated but generalised XML process meta represenations that are further translated intp executable π-ADL specifications to execute in large scale disctributed environemnt and in particular Grid based SOA platforms.
