The RAPID 2000 Project provides a strategic approach to enhance the skill development and progression of future Professionals throughout the Construction Industry by adapting the RAPID Progress File developed as part of the ‘Recording Achievement in Construction’ project.
The RAPID Progress File enables students to audit and develop skills in line with the professional competence requirements of leading Professional Institutions within the Industry. This project sees the extension of the Web-based RAPID Progress File to accredited degree programmes in Civil and Building Engineering.
This project has the support and assistance of both the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) both of whom are represented on the project’s Steering Committee. Furthermore, the project team is working closely with the Training Organisation for Professionals in Construction (TOPIC) to ensure that the benefits derived from the project have the maximum impact within the Industry as a whole.
