Established in 1998 by Professor James Longhurst, AQMRC is widely-recognised for the provision of an extensive and diverse programme of exceptional inter-disciplinary research and consultancy projects primarily on the subjects of air quality and carbon management.
The AQMRC team deliver the knowledge and experience for air quality and carbon management research, consultation, and teaching.
PhD researchers at AQMRC have the opportunity to directly influence the development of air quality management policy and practice.
Training accredited by the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) and the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM).
Courses of outstanding quality that cover many aspects of air quality and carbon monitoring and management.
The MSc Environmental Management is an opportunity to study a professionally focused course in a uniquely flexible way. On completion, students will be ready to take on a number of roles, for example, working in the environmental arm of a large private company, or with a public sector body such as the Environment Agency. Possibilities may be found across the world in areas as diverse as civil engineering, sustainable development, water security, or research, developing policy or getting involved in major projects.

MSc Environmental Consultancy is strongly interdisciplinary and practical, and draws on our wide-ranging and well-established links with environmental consultancies, industry, national and local government. The programme is accredited by the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) and provides an excellent opportunity to gain industry experience with a placement that forms an integral part of the course.
