Research in the department
Our research applies novel engineering, statistical and mathematical techniques to solve problems of direct relevance to industry, society and the environment.
Projects take place at local, national and international level, enabled by the size and disciplinary diversity of the school. We aim to demonstrate research excellence linked to excellence in teaching by encouraging the application of multiple perspectives to the exploration of new and emerging technologies.
