CSCT Schools Workshops
Twice a year we hold CSCT Schools Workshops. Delivered by academic staff in the Department of Computer Science and Creative Technologies, these popular hands-on and stimulating workshops are designed for Level 3 BTEC students who may be considering applying for University courses in Computing or Electronics. Workshops include: Building and booting a PC, Configuring home networks, Manoeuvring a robot buggy, Building a digital calculator, Building a sound meter, Games programming and Forensic data recovery. We hold the event in January and June each year so if you’d like your school to take part e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Games Technology activities
The Games Technology team will be holding an event for local schools in the near future. Industry representatives will attend, giving short presentations and running interactive demonstrations.
Games technology students and staff have created the UWE Games forum which gives students the opportunity to discuss projects, ask staff for advice and discuss any exciting news from the industry. Check out the Games forum.
