State-specific entry requirements

For entry onto undergraduate courses.

Capital Territory

Tertiary Entrance Statement. To be considered together with the UAI (University Admissions Index) and ACT Year 12 Certificate for entry onto Level 1 undergraduate courses.

Students must also pass at least five subjects (three majors and three minors; four majors and one minor; or five majors or more), of which at least three majors and one minor must be at tertiary accredited level.

New South Wales

Higher School Certificate (HSC). To be considered together with the UAI (University Admissions Index) for entry onto Level 1 undergraduate courses.

Northern Territory

Northern Territory Certificate of Education (NTCE). To be considered together with the Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) for entry onto Level 1 undergraduate courses.

Queensland

Overall Position (OP) to be considered together with the Tertiary Entrance Statement (TES) for entry onto Level 1 undergraduate courses.

Queensland Senior Certificate to be considered together with the Tertiary Entrance Statement (TES) and Overall Position (OP) for entry onto Level 1 undergraduate courses.

South Australia

South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) to be considered together with the TER (Tertiary Admissions Rank) and a TES (Tertiary Entrance Score). Tertiary Entrance Rank (from 1997): a score of 88.20 or more should be obtained for entry onto Level 1 undergraduate courses.

Tasmania

Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) to be considered in conjunction with the Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) and Tertiary Entrance Score (TES) for entry onto Level 1 undergraduate courses.

Victoria

Tertiary Entrance Score (until 1993). Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Study Score. VCE to be considered together with the Equivalent National Tertiary Entrance Rank (ENTER) and study score for entry onto Level 1 undergraduate courses.

Victorian Equivalent National Tertiary Entrance Rank (ENTER) to be considered together with the study scores for entry onto Level 1 undergraduate courses.

Western Australia

Western Australia Certificate of Education (WACE) to be considered together with the Tertiary Entrance Score (TES) and Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER). Tertiary Entrance Rank (from 1998): a score of 88.20 or more should be obtained and Western Australia Certificate of Education (WACE) from 1997 for entry onto Level 1 undergraduate courses.
