About the Faculty
The Faculty of the Arts, Creative Industries and Education comprises three Departments:
We have 6,000 students participating in undergraduate and postgraduate full and part-time study. We work with 445 members of staff and industry professionals across the Faculty. The Faculty has five sites across the city, which connect us with local communities and industry partners.
Talent development and partnership sit at the heart of our Faculty’s business. We work with our students and staff to foster the abilities and skills required for them to succeed in the exciting and challenging careers that lie ahead of them. We develop education, creative and cultural professionals, who can be leaders in a wide range of creative, cultural, education and business environments.
Excellence in teaching and research
Our programmes and courses put students and their learning first. We believe that students learn more, and best, when working together with each other and academic colleagues The Faculty has established a reputation of excellence in teaching and research over many years in a range of disciplines. Our focus is on providing an excellent student experience, our graduate futures, research and practice-led teaching, and research with impact.
Our learning and teaching is underpinned by extensive partnerships with organisations such as the BBC and Aardman Animations, Arnolfini and Spike Island Galleries in Bristol, Arts Council England, English Heritage, and hundreds of local schools. We believe that our collaborations should not only be mutually beneficial but also benefit the sectors within which we operate. We are an international Faculty, committed to partnerships in the Far East, North America and Europe.
We look forward to meeting you, and working with you, in the future.
