Donna joined us in October 2015. She is responsible for our faculty of 250 staff and 6000 students. Prior to this, she was Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business and Society at the University of South Wales.

Donna has established an international advisory board to help our faculty achieve its vision and strategic objectives. She highlights that it is a privilege to work with such a talented and supportive team. 

She also manages enterprise across the university as part of the Learning 2020 strategic project. She sits on Academic Board and is a member of the governing body.

Furthermore, Donna is a member of the Council for the Chartered Association of Business Schools and sits on their Research Committee. She will shortly be joining the Watershed Board of Trustees.

Fiona is responsible for strategic oversight of our courses and their quality of student experience.

She chairs our faculty committee and represents us on many university groups concerned with academic governance, learning, teaching and the student experience.

Fiona is a qualified solicitor with an MBA in higher education management and a doctorate in education.

Nicholas oversees our faculty-wide research strategy. He is responsible for postgraduate research and developing networks for enterprise and innovation through public and civic engagement and knowledge transfer and exchange.

He chairs our Research and Knowledge Exchange Committee and represents the faculty on the University's Research and Knowledge Exchange Committee.

He is a Professor of Strategy/Enterprise and Innovation and his research interests include strategic management and business competitiveness. He was elected an academician of the Academy of Social Sciences in 2011.

Ray is responsible for the financial and resource-based health of the faculty. He manages our strategic planning activities to translate, with the Faculty Executive, strategic ambitions into planned activities to achieve them.

He establishes priorities with the departments, negotiates budgets, creates staff recruitment and development plans, maintains our resource policy and monitors resource usage.

Fiona creates mutually beneficial and commercially sustainable international, national, regional and local partnerships. 

She works with stakeholders across the university and a wide variety of external organisations to promote collaboration on new initiatives in line with our faculty and university strategies.

Fiona has collaborated on many transnational research projects and publications related to leisure, events and tourism management. She is currently working with Glastonbury Festival - investigating how to improve the sustainability of events and festivals.

Katherine manages our professional services to support faculty business requirements including setting and managing service delivery standards. Plus, our faculty administration and projects.

Katherine is the executive lead for marketing, student recruitment, fees and internal communications. She chairs faculty committees and represents our faculty on university-level groups in these areas.

As Katherine works part-time; Sandra Tomkins will also answer any professional service queries.

Patricia has broad departmental management responsibilities in three primary activity areas:

  • teaching, learning and assessment and research
  • business engagement and professional development
  • staff and resource management.

She is responsible for ensuring our courses have market attractiveness and meet quality standards - including external quality benchmark compliance.

In addition, she oversees and promotes a vibrant research community, scholarly investigation and external engagement. Patricia is line manager of the accounting, economics and finance academic staff.

Nadine is responsible for departmental strategic oversight of learning and teaching, research, external engagement and resourcing. 

She is passionate about providing an outstanding student experience and has led many learning and teaching initiatives in previous roles.

The Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance offers many undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Sarah is responsible for Bristol Law School at UWE and has oversight of the strategic and operational direction of the department.

Sarah is a practicing Solicitor, specialising in the area of employment law and practice. She spent 12 years in private practice before moving into higher education.

Sarah is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is passionate about learning, teaching and the student experience. She is currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Education.

Noordin is Director of BBEC, which is situated in our Bristol Business School building and represents a gateway to industry. He leads programmes that strengthen UWE Bristol's position as a provider of advanced business education and leader in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Over 22,000 people have taken his MOOC on innovation and he has authored a book ‘Innovation in real life: a hands-on guide to genuine innovation’.

Noordin is Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia, and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
