Careers Consultancy Services
Careers Coaching Services
The Career Coaching Services team are all professionally qualified careers advisers who provide careers information resources, workshops and 1-1 career coaching to students and graduates, to help them to make informed choices about their future and fulfil their professional and personal potential. Services include CV checking, interview preparation, support with developing career ideas and career planning.
Employer Partnership Services
Building employer engagement in careers, employability and enterprise activity for students and recent graduates, and providing an infrastructure for all UWE managed work experience activity (including placements, internships, study year abroad and unpaid work experience) and providing specialist support for student enterprise and entrepreneurship activity.
Employer Partnership Services also act to enhance UWE’s reputation with employers as a source of recruiting student and graduate talent, advertise vacancies for graduates jobs, placements and internships and run employer events such as recruitment fairs.
Professional Practice Office
Matching and allocating students to compulsory, timetabled professional practice placements across health, social work and education programmes; with a dedicated practice support line to deal with student and placement provider issues.
Enterprise and self-employment
Enterprise isn't just about starting your own business. It's about identifying opportunities, creating ideas and putting them into practice. It also encourages leadership, creativity, innovation, and networking and helps develop self-confidence and commercial awareness.
The Enterprise team offer internship programmes and funding opportunities to give you the chance to work on your own idea, which will help you stand out from the crowd as employers are increasingly looking to find students and graduates with this unique skill set for their organisations.
