Location

Hillside Gardens is conveniently located adjacent to the M32 motorway and minutes from the UWE Bristol Frenchay Campus. With on-site parking, changing facilities and spectator areas, it is ideally placed for easy access for students, colleagues or members.

Brand-new facilities

Hillside Gardens is part of UWE Bristol Sport and provides pitch facilities for Team UWE Bristol sports teams such as football, rugby, lacrosse, American football and Ultimate Frisbee.

The facilities include:

two floodlit artificial pitches
separate artificial surface warm-up area
undercover seating for spectators
pitch-side dugouts
grass football pitch and training grids
changing rooms
parking.

In April 2019, Hillside Gardens won a Considerate Constructors Scheme 2019 National Site Award.

FIFA approved and IRB compliant artificial surfaces
state-of-the-art dugouts with player benches and player/coach area at back for team talks and tactics with internet connection and safe
internet connection throughout the site
video analysis tower – 180 degree view of both pitches
latest in turf technology to ensure we have the best playing surface possible
designated artificial warm up area
app controlled flood lights for bespoke lighting options
hot and cold vending for spectators
self-service facility check-in.

Booking and hire

Hillside Gardens is available to UWE Bristol students and staff, members of the local community, and businesses and organisations to hire on a one-off basis or regular hire agreements.

From corporate away days, school events and one-off bookings, to regular hire agreements and block bookings, Hillside Gardens can accommodate your sports facility needs.
