UWE Bristol's all-weather pitch

Situated next to the Centre for Sport on Frenchay Campus, the astro pitch features:

  • full-size FIH specification playing surface and run-offs
  • a video tower with electrical outlets
  • 100 covered seats
  • custom-built brick dugouts with electric doors, power, WiFi and lighting
  • a range of training aids, including a ball machine and rebound boards
  • international standard floodlighting
  • a dedicated maintenance team
  • separate changing rooms and showering facilities for home and away teams.

    Playing in cold weather

    If you have a booking and the weather is cold (frost/snow), please call the Centre for Sport reception on +44 (0)117 32 86200 to find out whether the pitch is playable and if the booking can continue.
