MOVE running sessions

Running can be hard, so we recommend starting small and building up your distance. Our drop-in sessions are designed for anyone who wants a run or jog, wants to increase their running ability or even try running for the first time. 

Don't worry about not being fast enough – the group moves at different paces to suit every individual and you'll never be left on your own. So grab your trainers and join a group. These sessions are suitable for beginners and intermediates, and are free. You don't need to be a member of our MOVE programme to take part.

There are weekly running clubs held on UWE campuses, check the MOVE section on the UWE Bristol Sport app for weekly sessions.

Frenchay running group

Join our free and friendly running groups, inclusive to all whether you are a seasoned runner or first-timer. The aim is to improve your overall running fitness and general wellbeing through the joys of running outdoors, whilst meeting people in a friendly and supportive group.

To join the sessions you need to join the Centre for Sport for free as a pay as you go non-member so that you can book in to the sessions through the UWE Bristol Sport app.

Safety information

You should always wear reflective clothing if possible. Good-quality footwear is also required to take part in this class. If you’re inappropriately dressed, the instructor may advise against your participation.
