Bristol art and culture

Grand Iftars. Gromit. Graffiti. Bristol has it all.

Home to Wallace and Gromit, Alfred the gorilla and Banksy's old stomping ground Stokes Croft, culture here is as diverse as our city is.

Arnolfini is home to conception-challenging modern art and Wake the Tiger is Bristol’s latest immersive art exhibition. You're spoilt for choice with theatre, comedy and live music. And for the Peter Pans amongst you, there’s Bristol Zoo Project and Bristol Aquarium.

Bristol's home to over 479,000 people, hailing from over 185 different countries – you can find over 90 different languages spoken here, and 45 religions practised. To say it’s a melting pot of diversity is an understatement. It adds up to a city that's international, welcoming and open to the new.

Bristol is also host to Europe's largest street art and graffiti festival, Upfest.
