Dedicated drama facilities

Dedicated drama space - develop your acting talents, with a studio and working theatre on our Bower Ashton Campus. Peek behind the scenes on Flickr.

Welcoming music facilities

Join our Centre of Music, home to music lovers and sounds from classical and jazz, rock and pop, to underground and electronic. Join for free make the most of:

  • Groups like the orchestra, jazz ensemble or choirs.
  • Music lessons.
  • Bookable rehearsal rooms and practice rooms.   
  • Opportunities to get involved with lighting, sound and stage management.

Collaboration with other creatives

  • Media Studios - newsroom and studio equipped with the latest software for creating print (newspaper and magazines), television, radio and online news.
  • Film Studios - opened in 2019, with industry-standard production and post-production filmmaking, animation and photography facilities. There’s even a full film and TV studio, with audio capture and editing, and green screen.
  • Digital Design Studios - comprehensive Mac resources at Bower Ashton, City Campus at Arnolfini and City Campus at Spike Island where you can use Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office and a range of specialist software.
  • Fabrication Workshops - these are used by drama students for set/prop building.
  • Student Project Coordinators - this is a dedicated personal service to help you get the right technical help and support to create your work.

Good to know: workshops with specialist technicians are available to help you make the most of all the fantastic kit.
