The Student Centre at The Farmhouse is a student space where you can make connections, day or night. You can book a room for your society meeting, grab a few friends for a games night or just find a space to read a book.
Facilities to make you feel at home
Student Centre facilities include:
- a large lounge with sofas and bean bags
- two flexible meeting rooms for student groups
- a kitchen on the ground floor equipped with a microwave and crockery
- the Dartington Suite - a large room that can be used in the evenings and at weekends as a flexible flat floor space for group activities. It has a large screen and speaker system for watching films and will have a ping pong table and fussball table.
The Student Centre at The Farmhouse is located on Frenchay Campus. To find it, go through Wallscourt Park accommodation and follow the signs.
Remember to bring your student ID card so you can swipe in at the door.
Friday Prayers are held in the Dartington Suite, with dedicated washing facilities and provision that allows both brothers and sisters to participate.
Book a room
You can book the two medium-sized rooms, or the large meeting room (the Dartington Suite), via the online room bookings system. If you're inviting an external speaker as part of a society meeting, we ask that you let us know at least two weeks' in advance.
If you need a chat
As well as chill-out and meet up space, we have a team of student support staff on-site.
The out-of-hours team are available from 19:00-07:00 Monday to Friday and 24 hours at weekends during term-time. Just pop into their office on the first floor and have a chat about whatever's on your mind. Or you can contact them via 07814 791212 or firstname.lastname@example.org
The Centre is open 24/7 for you to use. We just ask that you respect that it's alcohol-free.
Help us shape the space
The Farmhouse is a new, blank space, ready for your creative solutions to shape it. Students can join the student forum to support this ongoing development. Email email@example.com if you would like to take part.
