UWE Bristol's award winning £9 million Film Studios is home to industry standard production film making, animation and photography facilities for creative industries students.
The building was officially opened in September 2018 by Executive Chairman of ITV and former Chair of Arts Council England, Sir Peter Bazelgette. It is now open to all students based on City Campus including those studying journalism, fine art, illustration and graphic design.
Facilities include a production studio, two large photography studios, stop motion animation and CGI studios, sound recording and Foley sound effects studios, colour grading studios and editing suites.

Best educational building in the West of England
The state-of-the-art facilities in the Film Studios won the Best Educational Building award at the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) West of England Building Excellence Awards 2018, held in Bristol on 13 July.
The LABC awards recognise the very best in construction in England and Wales.
The design of the building blends in with and is sympathetic to the beautiful natural surroundings of the Ashton Court conservation area.
The building borrows form and materials from simple agricultural architecture, brought together in a crisp and contemporary way to reflect the technology-rich and progressive activity within it.
Internally, highly specialised and inwardly-focussed studio and production spaces contrast with a vibrant first floor hub space with full height glazing closely connecting building users with the inspirational historic landscape of the deer park beyond.
The team behind this development are now working on the new Bower Ashton Design Studios, due to open in early 2019.
