Human Resources strategy
We are a people organisation. Our people are our strongest asset, and our engagement, commitment and performance are critical to achieving our ambitions set out in the UWE Bristol Strategy 2020.
People and Performance 2020
People and Performance 2020 is core to our Human Resources and Organisational Development (HROD) strategy to support the UWE Bristol Strategy 2020. This aims to develop our entire workforce to be operating in a culture of high performance and constructive challenge by 2020, so we can offer exceptional student experience and research excellence.
People and Performance 2020 creatively and critically looks at different aspects of HROD practice to create a workplace where everyone performs to their full potential and consists of six projects:
- Leadership behaviours.
- Organisation design.
- Maximising performance.
- Reward and recognition.
- HR Online.
- New staff intranet.
“There is a real passion, energy and commitment at UWE Bristol to maximise our potential. We are facing new challenges, both local and global, with confidence as we enter a phase of sustained investment. I am proud to lead this creative and forward-thinking University with ambition and confidence for the future.”
Improving our systems and processes
As well as investing in developing our workforce, we are also committed to continuous improvement of our systems and processes through the HR Online project.
This project aims to introduce a step change in the management of staff information and in the provision and the use of online tools for employment-related activities, in Human Resources and across the University. Through HR online, our staff will have easy to use tools to access secure, reliable staff data and to manage employment activities with confidence.
