Logic and Ableton sessions and recording

Sessions on using Ableton Live 9 and Logic Pro X to compose, record and arrange your music.
We can accommodate those with more experience, but the sessions are ideal for beginners.

Sessions are usually taught in groups of four to eight on iMacs. Ableton Live and Logic Pro X sessions run alternately in blocks of five weeks.

Sessions are free to Centre for Music members this academic year. Email cfm@uwe.ac.uk to book your place. If you are not a Centre for Music member and you would like to attend these sessions please complete a membership form first before booking a place.

Ableton Live sessions

Ideal for beatmaking, electronic music, integrating sound triggering into live performance, introduction to working with synths and samples.

Time and location: Ableton sessions run in five week blocks. Wednesdays 18:30 - 20:30, Room 1N95, N Block, Frenchay Campus. Blocks of sessions run two or three times per year. Logic Pro X

Ideal for recording and arranging songs, laying down vocals, learning principals of sequencing and production, recording instruments.

Time and location: Logic sessions run in five week blocks. Wednesdays 18:30 - 20:30, Room 1N95, N Block, Frenchay Campus. Blocks of sessions run two or three times per year. Please contact cfm@uwe.ac.uk to find out when the next series starts or to book onto a five week block, putting ‘Logic sessions’ as the subject.

1N95 is in N block, most easily accessed by heading to the right of the Frenchay Campus bus station, heading up the hill towards the red bars outside N block. There is a small side entrance there that leads directly to 1N95.
