Gospel Choi performing at Festival of Sound

Gospel Choir

The Gospel Choir is directed by Charmaine Samuels. Previous experience is not required and no audition is necessary. Just come and experience a whole new way of singing and performing.

The repertoire includes a mix of contemporary gospel music and 'praise and worship' music by many well known gospel artists and worship leaders.

The choir was selected as finalists in the University Gospel Choir of the Year competition for 2013 and 2011. In 2012 they hosted their own charity concert in support of Food for the Hungry. In 2013 and 2014 they took part in the Bristol Festival of Song at the Colston Hall. In 2015, they organised a whole day singing workshop and evening concert with international gospel artiste Karen Gibson.

The Gospel Choir performs throughout the year at UWE Bristol events, and also at venues such as National Trust, Tyntesfield.
