Narvada - UWE Bristol student from Mauritius

Narvada - Mauritius

Coming to UWE Bristol

Narvada always wanted to study Biomedical Science. Her dream was to work in a laboratory. As soon as she learnt about UWE Bristol’s outstanding laboratory facilities she knew that it was the right university for her.

Follow your dreams

She made good use of all available support services and soon took the next step to fulfilling her dream: she was offered a placement opportunity in the USA where she could develop invaluable skills in the laboratory.

But Narvada didn’t stop here, she was chosen for the position of secretary of the project Clean Water for Kenya where she could apply her academic knowledge in the real life.

During her second year, as part of the Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) scheme, Narvada also provided weekly academic support sessions for first year students. “Having been a Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) student during my first year, I realised how important and helpful the experience was to me. That is why I became a PAL Leader myself.”

“Studying at UWE Bristol has been the best experience of my life so far” Narvada says.
