Thanks to her hands-on course, friendly and encouraging staff, and support from UWE Careers, BA(Hons) Early Childhood Studies student Kathrin is ready for her future career.
Starting her university degree as a mature student,
Kathrin feels she benefited greatly from the support UWE gave her
from day one.
Kathrin says
“I was quite shy before starting my degree, but my confidence has really improved during my time here. Giving presentations in front of my class mates and being supported and guided by my tutors has helped immensely.”
Kathrin’s confidence and professionalism has also improved with each placement
“In our first and third year we had to do a placement, which was very helpful in putting theory into practice. But above all, I believe that the placements will increase students' career chances as they gain first-hand experience of working with children rather than just studying the theory of it.”
