Olusola - BSc(Hons) Construction Management
I create the homes of the future
BSc(Hons) Construction Management Olusola was so inspired by his UWE tutors that he now wants to pioneer the development of sustainable buildings in his country.
Olusola chose to study at UWE based on the
recommendation of a UWE representative in Nigeria. Attracted by the
diverse mix of cultures, Olusola felt quickly at home.
About his course and academic achievements he says
“In the beginning I found it challenging to adapt to the UK approach in planning and constructing buildings. UWE puts a lot of emphasis on sustainability, energy conservation and the construction of environmentally-friendly buildings. In Africa this isn't a priority at all.”
His tutors inspired Olusola to apply his new-found knowledge in Africa. He says “I've learned so much here that I want to implement when I get back. UWE is a great place and I would definitely recommend this university to anyone!”
