Ba sat in Bristol Business School

Ba - Business and Events Management

Ba started his course at one of UWE Bristol’s partner institutions - the International University in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and chose to continue his degree with us. UWE Bristol works with many institutions globally to offer progression routes from selected qualifications onto courses here in the UK. This means that you could start your degree in your home country and complete it at UWE Bristol, graduating with a UK qualification.

Ba joined the final year of our BA(Hons) Business and Events Management course. And he’s delighted he made the decision to continue his studies here.

"Coming to study in the UK has been fantastic. I was keen to come to UWE Bristol as I knew that overseas study would set me apart from other students when job hunting.

"Right from the moment I arrived I knew I’d chosen the right university. I settled in very quickly as everyone was so welcoming and happy to help me. I adjusted to life in the UK easily. One of the fantastic things about UWE Bristol is that it has more Vietnamese students studying here than any other universities in the UK so there is a friendly community of Vietnamese students here that gives it a real ‘home from home’ feeling.

"I’ve been so impressed by the University. The facilities are fantastic including the modern Bristol Business School. We also have fantastic learning zones, and a library that’s open 24/7. The lecturers are really friendly and helpful. This is important, as studying in the UK is different to Vietnam so you need approachable staff who will support you whenever you need it.

"At UWE Bristol, university life is about more than just your course and you’re encouraged to develop yourself as a person and get involved in new opportunities. For example, by joining the many clubs and societies that the University offers."

"Bristol is a great city too. It’s friendly and lively and there’s a great food scene, so, if like me you enjoy eating Asian food, you won’t be disappointed here as the city offers great international cuisine.

"What’s next for me? I think I’d either like to stay at UWE Bristol and study for a Masters in Marketing or return to Vietnam and secure a marketing role back there. Whichever option I choose, I’m confident that my university experience here has given me all that I need to succeed."
